When I decided to purchase I checked out a couple other companies along with Bead Creator (BCP). Bead Creator just offered so much more & seemed easier to use so I spent my money on BCP3. Yes, there is a learning curve – but anything “computer” has that (especially for someone like me who is computer “illiterate” . The biggest plus with BCP is the fact that the company (Andrew) listens to his customers. He has been willing to keep updating and adding things we ask for – and he doesn’t make us wait until the next version comes out in a year. There isn’t any other beading software that I even have a hankering to try.

Although I have never used any other beading software, I did check out another one on behalf of someone else. I found that the software was lacking in a few areas from BCP but the biggest thing was that there was NO way to export the pattern to a pdf file which is a HUGE plus when you are designing patterns to sell. I verified with the creator of the other software that there was no option to do his and he also confirmed that there were no plans to add this. This software was cheaper but after checking it out it was the basic “you get what you pay for” type of thing.
